National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) 

We are delighted to be working with the National Institute of Teaching to deliver the National Professional Qualifications for all specialist and leadership programmes.

As one of the four founding MATs, Harris Federation have worked closely with the NIOT on the creation and delivery of the full suit on NPQ programmes. 

NPQs at the National Institute of Teaching are school-led: the programmes are designed and delivered with a focus on the realities of schools. Because teachers’ time is precious, the programmes are respectful of your time, and designed to have immediate impact on the pupils and colleagues in your school, as well as the colleagues and children you will work with in the future.

NPQ SENCO Evaluation:

CFE Research is about to launch the evaluation of the NPQ

for SENCOs, on behalf of the department. This research will explore how delivery of this qualification is working in practice as well as exploring participants’ and wider stakeholders’ views and experiences of the qualification. The research will include questions on the application process, motivations for undertaking the qualification and career aspirations and will aid our assessment of whether the intended outcomes of the qualification are being delivered. Findings arising from this research will be used to inform future development of the programme. 

NPQ for SENCOs participants will soon be invited to complete an online survey and encourage them to share their valued Feedback. 

NPQ Review webinar:  

For all teachers and leaders about the NPQ Review on Wednesday 19 November at 4pm.
