Maths Hubs
Maths Hubs offer professional development opportunities for anyone involved in the teaching of maths, with the aim of driving school-wide change. Maths Hubs follow the teaching for mastery programmes for early years, primary, secondary and post 16 set out by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics, NCETM. Their CPD offer for 2024-25 includes:
- Specialist Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics, available to all including Non-Maths specialists, Teaching Assistants and ECTs.
- ITT Providers Network
- Leadership in Maths Education Work Groups
- Targeted Support in Maths with an Intensive Support Partner
London North East Maths Hub is led by Elmhurst Primary School to support all school settings in Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, with their Maths training needs. For more information about their courses and networks please visit their website:

Secondary Teaching for Mastery – Development | NCETM
The London Central and NW Maths Hub work together with schools in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Islington and Westminster.
London Central and North West Maths Hub, led by The St Marylebone CE School, works in partnership with neighbouring schools, colleges, universities, CPD providers, maths experts and employers across the hub area to support the continuous improvement of mathematics education for all pupils and students. By bringing together maths education professionals from Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Islington and Westminster we have created a strong network of teachers and schools to support and improve the teaching and learning of maths.
