Gavin Williams
Director of Leadership Development
What does your role entail?
In my role I lead all of Harris Institute’s Leadership development activity, overseeing the NPQs and other leadership development programmes. I work with the NIoT regarding all areas of NPQs and oversight of all key planning, QA and self-evaluation processes. I also liaise on behalf of the Harris Institute with LA's, TSHs, external providers and other interested groups on the work of the Harris Institute and its partnership activity with the NIoT.
What are your credentials/experience to your current position?
I have worked within Leadership teams across a number of schools in South East London for over 15 years. I have led professional development across schools within a number of trusts and am passionate about the development of teachers and leaders.
What is the highlight of your role?
Apart from the variety that every day brings, I will never take for granted the opportunity to observe the effect excellent professional development has on individuals and the impact it has within schools, and improve the outcomes for young people.
Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
